Something you may like to keep in mind;

I try very hard to make it possible for every mother to have the opportunity to wear her baby.  If you are looking for the sewing instructions because of financial hardship, I would be happy to work with you in finding a price that makes the MamaRoo affordable for you in your specific situation.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Your privacy will be respected.

These directions are for the simplest version of a MamaRoo Baby Sling. The extra sewing of a pouch at the end of the sling is not included.

You will need 3 yards of 60 inch wide hemp/cotton muslin, (5.7 oz), or similiar 44 inch wide fabric.
Contact Barbara at Enviro Textiles for fabric orders. [email protected]

Step 1  Using 60 inch wide fabric, cut down the length into three equal sections measuring approximately 20 inches each.  Sew off the rough edges along the long side of two pieces of the fabric. The third length is extra, you will not be using it.

Or, Step 1  Using 44 inch wide fabric, cut in half down the length for two 22 inch wide pieces.

Lay one piece of the fabric on the floor with the hemmed side facing down, right side up. This is the first branch of the sling.

Lay the second piece of fabric directly on top of the first piece, also with the hemmed side facing down, right side facing up. This is the second branch of the sling.

Sew the bottom edge of the two pieces together making one 20 inch rough seam. Then flip the two pieces inside out and sew again to have a neat seam connecting the two branches.

Measure 7 inches up from this seam and sew a straight line across the 20 inch width of the fabric making the threading pocket between the two branches.

Finish off each of the two branches on the bottom edges so that you have no rough edges anywhere on the sling.

Thread the branches through the threading pocket following the instructions at
